“The Hidden World of Mollusks in Greece and Cyprus”
The Hellenic Malacological Society announces the organization of a National Photography Contest on the theme “The Hidden World of Mollusks in Greece and Cyprus,” co-sponsored by WWF Greece.
Purpose of the Contest
The aim of the contest is to highlight the diversity and ecological importance of the mollusks of Greece and Cyprus, as well as to raise public awareness regarding their protection and conservation.
Eligibility
Individuals over the age of 18 are eligible to participate.
Photo Theme
Participants are invited to submit up to two (2) original photographs depicting marine, freshwater, or terrestrial mollusks from Greece or Cyprus (living or fossilized).
Basic Terms of Participation
Up to two (2) photographs per participant may be submitted.
Photographs must be original and must not have undergone extensive digital editing.
The use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools to create or edit images is not permitted.

Contest Duration
The contest runs from May 1 to August 31, 2026.
Entries received after the deadline will not be accepted.
Submission of entries
Entries must be submitted exclusively via the online entry form.
Awards
• Jury Prize: €400
• Audience Choice Award: €200 (based on a public vote)
Announcement of Results
The results will be announced within two (2) months of the submission deadline.
